You're Doing Great

2012--I'm liking you more and more. Do certain years ever really stick out to you as good years? 2007 for me. I loved that year, for a lot of different reasons. It just really sticks out to me as a big year. But 2012 is seriously taking great shape. 2011 and 2010 were not that impressive. Compared to 2007. Well who knows, maybe in time I'll think of 2011 and 2010 differently. I don't know.

I'm just going to talk about pop culture in the year 2012. I'd say it's a big part of what's making me like 2012 so much. Here's why.

The Hunger Games--I can't really say anything. There's so much to this. Makes you think. But makes you really uncomfortable when you think about it. Not as good as the book, but pretty darn close! One of the best book to movie adaptations I've seen.

One Direction--They are going to take OVER. I never got the Bieber Fever, but I'm definitely sick in bed with my One Direction infection. 5 charming boys singing and dressing really well and having lovely clothes and eyes. It's a good sight and sound. I'm all over it. They're so successful because they're being themselves. They're not trying to be this image of a boyband. They are naturally who they are and the fates have aligned themselves to create this product of beauty.

New Girl--Great TV show. It's not revolutionary but it's unique in its own unique way. Just entertaining entertainment is all it is.

That's all so far that I can remember. There will be more to come I am certain. I think I like these things so much because it's just pure pureness and joy. For me. Stuff is slowly but also very quickly changing. And films and TV shows and pop music can branch out and showcase new unique ideas and talent. Yeah 2012! Keep up the great work.
